4.3-inch Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Details Leaked

A batch of pictures which from an insider for SamMobile suggest that Samsung may be planning to release another smartphone, this one is the next gerneration of the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini. These pictures suggest a phone with the same design and similar construction as the Galaxy S4 but in a much smaller appearance, just as the S3 mini was a clone of the Galaxy S3.

The Galaxy S4 mini (or model number GT-I9190) owns a 4.3-inch screen, runs Android 4.2 with TouchWiz skin just like the S4, and features a Super AMOLED screen that is said to have 256ppi pixel density, compared to the S4′s 441ppi. It’s also rumored that it will come with a more modest 1.6GHz dual-core processor instead of the S4′s 1.9GHz quad-core.
The new phone suggests that people looking for a smaller version of the Galaxy S4 will have an option, however, they will definitely have to compromise what is inside. SamMobile said the Galaxy S4 mini is expected to be announced sometime in June or July this year, although Samsung is yet to confirm whether the phone is even in production.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumored to Launch with Energy Efficient Green PHOLED Display

The Galaxy S4 announcement may be coming up soon, however that doesn’t mean the leaks and rumors will stop. In fact, it looks some additional Galaxy S4 details have recently leaked. Keep in mind, these details are not official until we get the word from Samsung. But on that note, this latest leak does include a few pieces we hope to see come true. Just to begin with, we are now talking floating touch, a green PHOLED display and more
Screen-Shot-2013-03-07-at-11.27.25-AM-540x307

Lets kick things off with the green PHOLED display. Aside from a rather interesting sounding name — this could mean a nicer display to look at and also slightly better battery life due to its efficiency. Apparently the green PHOLED technology will be about 25 percent more efficient as compared to the previous Galaxy S display.
The other interesting bit is the floating touch technology. This is expected to be similar to what we have seen on the Xperia Sola smartphone. Basically, you will be able to sort of hover over the display without actually touching it. One potential use would be to hover your finger over an image gallery to get a preview of the pics on the inside.
Coming with this latest round is also some additional talk of the Samsung Orb. This looks to be a 360 degree camera feature, which will basically be the Samsung version of Photosphere. Otherwise the Galaxy S4 is expected to launch with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and receive an update to 4.2.2 “in the same month of release.” As for the update, lets just say those picking this up with a US carrier — you may want to get used to 4.2.1 and not count on an upgrade quite that soon.

Next Samsung Galaxy Note Reportedly to Feature An even Bigger, 5.9-inch Screen

Next Samsung Galaxy Note Rumored to Feature An even Bigger, 5.9-inch Screen
It’s rumored the next Samsung Galaxy Note might feature an even larger, 5.9-inch display, and it should be out in the second half of the year, according to an anonymous Samsung official speaking for The Korea Times.
”Samsung is working on introducing a new phablet using a 5.9-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen,’’ the official said.
Therefore, this writes off the possibility that we’ve earlier heard suggestions that Samsung might make an even bolder jump to a 6.3-inch next Galaxy Note. The phablet will come with an octa-core processor, but is not very likely to feature Samsung’s bendable displays we’ve been hearing so much about as Samsung is struggling with manufacturing.
The first Galaxy Note launched with a truly humongous 5.3-inch display late in 2011, and last year the Note II arrived with a 5.5-inch screen, which is really pushing the limits of pocketability. Phablet blurs the boundaries of the phone and tablet. Although it makes us have more new experience and feel like we have such small hands, it’s not convenient to handle with one hand. Then do you prefer a larger screen smartphone or the phone you can handle with one hand?
